Kyle Tata

Kyle Tata (b. 1990, Baltimore, MD) is a Los Angeles-based artist who primarily works with

photography. His process based work addresses themes such as perception, and the material history of photography. Tata received a MFA in Art from University of California, Los Angeles in 2022 and a BFA in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2012. He had solo and two-person exhibitions at Fulcrum Press (Los Angeles, 2025) Hamiltonian Gallery (Washington, DC, 2017), the Walters Art Museum (Baltimore, 2017). He has participated in group exhibitions at LightWork (Syracuse, 2024); Canepa Selling (Los Angeles, 2024), PSLA (Los Angeles, 2023); Silvermine Arts Center (New Canaan, 2014), and the International Print Center (New York, 2013). His artist books are held in the library collections at the International Center of Photography, NY, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University.
